Swim Team

Welcome to the Swordfish Swim Team! We’re a neighborhood swim team that competes against 20-plus teams in the Chesapeake Swim Club’s summer league.

Who can join our neighborhood team?
Any OTP resident between the ages of 4-17. (Four-year-olds should have a strong desire to swim!)

• Kids who enjoy being in the pool, even if they're still learning their strokes.
• Teens who want to cross train for their sports during the break.
• Children interested in meeting new friends in the neighborhood.

Our emphasis is on teaching the four competitve strokes, practicing good sportsmanship, and, mostly, having fun!

The swim team is a great way to keep your kids active, give them the opportunity to meet new friends, and participate in a fun sport throughout the summer. Our neighborhood team continues to grow and build each summer. We average approximately 60-65 swimmers. The season runs June through July, and we compete in four dual meets as well as the All-City Championship meet in early August. 
Each family is asked to volunteer at 2 meets during the summer. We’re also happily accepting donations for Fun Friday snacks.
